I am pretty confused here. I started Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo in October of 2007 and switched to Desogen at the end of November 2007. I switched to Ortho-Tri-Cyclen at the beginning of March 2008. I took all of my pills and only missed a couple but always took them right away when I remembered in the 2nd week of my pill pack. I started my peiod 3/23, the 15th day of my active pills and it should have been over 3/29 if it were a regular 7-day period. But it did not actually end until 4/2. The last 3 days on inactive pills I did not experience any bleeding at all. I should have started my new pill pack 4/5 but forgot until 4/13. And I did have unprotected sex on a few different occasions until I remembered to start my new pack. I took a home pregnancy test today (4/17) and it was negative. What are the chances that I could still be pregnant?

When would you be do for your next period. If your last period was on 3/29 then your next period isn't due till April 20 (based on a 28 day cycle), I would check with your doctor but if I remember correctly, you need to pitch your remaining pack when your next period starts and start with a new pack. The pills need to be taken with your current cycle, not against it. If your period doesn't start after April 20th I would take another pregnancy test and call my doctor. If it is hard to remember to take your pills, you may want to consider a different birth control option.
