my midwife says it isn't likely...my opinion is that yes it was due to having them so close...I think in my gut I knew a 3rd pregnancy so close to the other two would be a bad thing.

I feel very lucky to have gotten through it okay (although I do freak out when my bleeding gets worse or changes back to red etc) it is hard to just take bleeding/afterpains for granted after something like that happens.

My bleeding was worst this last time. I thought I wanted the next to be close, but my body has been telling me it needs a longer break. They would already be almost 2 yrs apart now, and I'm just starting to feel like I could be ready.

The thing to remember is there are a lot of ladies that have difficult pregnancies/deliveries not just ones that have children close together. I know so many ladies that have had their children close without any complications. So you just have to look at how you feel and if you think your body is ready for another pregnancy.

My first two are just 12 months apart, my second and third at 16 months apart and my third and forth will be about 22 months apart.I wouldn't have it any other way

My three youngest are 2 years 10 months from start to finish ..... ane at 5, one at 4, and one at just days away from being 3 ..... I did just fine, it was a bit tiring but we got through. looking back I realise it was worth it as we were already in 'baby mode' instead of feeling like we were starting over like new parents which is what it was like after my first baby when we left it many years to have the 2nd
