OH, my Irish Twins. Mine not quite as close 19, 21, and now 23 months. BUt I will have 4 kids 5 yrs old and younger. Also, I had my tubes tied with the last, so this is very unexpected. Look for a Mother of Multipules group. Sibblings within a year are considered twins.

Good luck

Well, you will have your oldest one to help you out at least
I think the first year will be physically tough, but also a lot of fun. After that, the physical stuff will get less demanding, and you may actually get more time, as the younger two will hopefully play together. Our last two are 18 months apart, and I was really worried about that spacing, but it has turned out to be great (again, physically challenging for me). You have to remember that the baby will be imobile for some time, and s/he will hopefully sleep a lot the first few months, so that will hopefully buy you some time. I also found that it's helpful to have a "ok" attitude about some things. I remember calling DH, and all three were in the background crying (not b/c of being hurt), and he and I just started laughing b/c the whole thing was so ridiculous. Also, having two in diapers isn't bad either. I thought I would only be changing diapers, but it's not the case (and we use cloth too). The good has definitely outweighed the tough stuff. My last two boys are really cute together and my middle really seems affectionate and sweet w/ the baby. The baby seems to be ready to get in there and be a part of things. Anyway, we are going for one more and would like a close spacing again, so it wasn't bad enough to keep us away. Good luck. You'll be great and it will all work out!

I have Irish twins (11 months and 3 days apart) and I LOVE it!!! We had our 3rd close together as well, and were trying for the 4th to be just as close, but nature had other plans (and another surprise baby to add!!!) I can't say enough though how fun it is to have kids close together. The first few months are definately challenging, and even today, we have our moments, but there is nothing like seeing all your kids interact the way they do when they are so close in age!!! Don't worry too much....you will get through those first few months, and then the fun begins!!!

Hey I'm new here, too. Congrats on your pregnancy. I have no advice for you since I'm in the same boat (but 13 months apart) but at least you can know someone else is going through it, too!

I know exactly what you're going through and I'm worried out of my mine. I have a 9 month old born 9-29-06 and I'm due with my second 10-4-07. I pray they will be atleast a year apart. I got lucky because I'm having another boy. So all my first's stuff can go to my second! Good luck!

Welcome! My ds was born 7/25/06 and my csection for this baby is scheduled for 8/28/07 so they will be 13 months apart unless the baby decides he wants to come early, which I would have no problem with at all lol
