Re: Do your kids share rooms?
We have an older son (13 1/2) and he has his own room. We only have a 2 bedroom, but the "master" bedroom is quite large. Right now we share with our daughter and have it sectioned off with book cases so she really has her own "room". We are going to remove the bookcases and put our bed in the middle with Summer on one side and this little guy on the other. We are going to do some fixin' up here at this house and put it on the market (after trying for 12 years, these little guys are a surprise) and look into finding at least a 3 bedroom. Hopefully, a 4, but we will have to see what we can find in our price-range.
Right now, I am planning on putting the two little ones together even though they are a girl and a boy - I figure that won't matter for a few years, and by then Skyler will be old enough to put in the family room or even get his own apartment (though I would worry about him - he is special needs, but able to live independently). Hopefully we will find a 4 bedroom or a house that has some acreage for a little mini-guest house to be built on the property for him or something. Again, I feel like we have some time to worry about that later.
So, loooong story short - we will put the little ones in our room for a while, and then we will move them to the other bedroom and Skyler to the family room if we are still here in a couple of years. I shared a room with my older and younger brother until I was 7....(they were 9 and 5 before we had a 3 bedroom house).
