So for those of you on facebook, you know DS had really bad hives (again). Well they got so bad this time when he woke from his nap he was crying and he wouldn't let me put anti itch cream on his legs. And now he has huge bruises.
I got him into the Dr today. He was prescribed a steroid
Prednisolone (Pediapred) to bring down inflamation and I'm going to discuss more testing for him.
So anyways. I'm sort of a lurker on a msg board for Hip Dysplasia and one of the girls mentioned she sees another Dr at the same children's hopsital as CEra's Dr practices. She said she absolutely loved and her and so much praise.
She sent me to RateMDs.com and I looked up her Dr and CEra's Dr. And her Dr had so many good reviews. All but one. Then I looked up CEra's and he had SOOO many bad reviews. And one which I related too where he barely touched the baby and he diagnosed it.
So I asked her Ped for a re-referral. I told him about the ortho barely examining her the first time, but I just assumed he was going off her U/S and just treating based on those results so i didnt have too much of a problem at first. Then when we went for her follow up and he barely moved her hips, while she wore some pretty restrictive pants nad then gave us 6 more weeks. She hasn't had an u/s or xray since August and that just didnt sit well with me.
So he gave me a requistion for an xray. He said to go do that first and he'll have a look at it with his ortho and he'll see if she even needs to be re-referred for more treatment at that point.
So I'm going to try to get her xrayed on monday so we can do a follow up for the monday after and get this resolved as soon as possible...
In the mean time I'm still dealing with the stupid brace just in case. I don't want to mess up her treatment if it really is needed.....
So that's that.... I hope we get some good news......
