Are you talking to your baby?
Is anyone out there doing fetus right brain training? I am 10 weeks and am talking, reading, singing and connecting with my baby in my thoughts every day. I would like to connect with other parents who are also doing this. It is called the Shichida Method. Babies' right brains are fast developing from conception to age 6. Basically I am describing the world and all things about it to my baby in great detail using all the senses. I tell him how much I love him, how I look, what I am eating to ensure his health, how I am doing fitness for both our sakes and how I will hold him when he is born, etc. I tell him everything! If you are already doing some of these things or are interested to know more, please contact me. Let's give our babies the best oppurtunity in life we can.

I haven't done that. I have talked to her a little but I feel kinda weird doing it. I do think its really cool that you do all that.

Re: Are you talking to your baby?
We plan to play classical music for our baby - that is supposed to aid in their mental development.

Re: Are you talking to your baby?
When is it babys can hear? I thought it wasnt until about the 5th month. Good for all of you that are doing that, but I always felt pretty stupid. People give you dirty looks when they see you mumbling to yourself ;p I do have 2 other little ones so I am reading stories and talking all the time, but I am a lot more comfortable doing it to those out of the womb. I am naturally kind of a quiet person too, so it just never came natural to me. Im going to have to go look up when baby gets their hearing now, im curious =)

Re: Are you talking to your baby?
I am totally doing that--maybe not in as much detail as you, but I read stories to my baby, and I like to read alot anyway, so sometimes I read my own books aloud--because they can't understand the words or meanings yet, jut the tone and sound of your voice---
Also, my husband and I are both musicians, so we are always singing, playing guitar, listening to music anway, so I know the baby is getting tons of that---I also rub my tummy alot, it's gotten to the point where it's almost absentmindedly, I dunno if he/she can feel it but I'm sure it relaxes me and baby benefits in some way---
I also try to stay as calm as possible, do yoga, meditate, etc and make it the most calm, peaceful environment I can for baby and myself....
I guess I'm kind of *new age* (cheesy term I know) with stuff like that---I am all into that kind of parenting...touchy feeling crap jk...
I figure, even if it does nothing, it doesn't hurt anything to do it, because I truly believe all that helps!!
Get in touch with me if you would like!!

Re: Are you talking to your baby?
I've been talking to my baby since I was in the first trimester. After doing it this long I no longer feel weird talking in a room by myself!
