Default Please Help!

Hello,

Here's what's going on...

I should be 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant as of today.
I had a little bit of brown spotting on Wednesday. I called my doctor and he told me to come in. On Thursday he examined me and said that my uterus was not large enough for 6 weeks and to go have an ultrasound.

I don't have insurance and was reluctant to pay out of pocket because I don't really have the extra money, but I went anyway. They did not find anything in my uterus and the doctor said that it was possible that I had an ectopic pregnancy.

I had my hcg level tested on Thursday as well. It was 494. The doctor said that that was low and to have it checked again. Today (Monday) it is 498.

He told me that we can rule out a viable pregnancy and I need to go have the level checked again on Friday.

Can anyone tell me what the levels staying the same could mean?

I know that they pregnancy is not viable but I'm not sure what to do...is it a definite indicator or ectopic pregnancy? When would the tube rupture if it were to be ectopic?

My doctor says there is nothing else he can do for me without insurance, and to go to the ER if I have any bleeding or pain.

Can someone please give me some advice?

I meant to ask "is it a definite indicator of ectopic pregnancy"...

Did they confirm you were pregnant then? I have to be honest that I am not overly familiar with Hcg numbers or the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy. I would like to think that if you are pregnant and he thinks the baby could be in your tubes that he would do something to help you.

Based on your numbers, it appears you were definitely pregnant and are going through a miscarriage, I am sorry to say. Typically ectopic pregnancies have higher numbers than that.

I am sorry you are being put through this. I'd consider seeing a more compassionate doctor in the future though. This one doesn't sound very pleasant.

Ok, I went to the ER Friday night because I was having pains on the left side of my hip. They took a blood and urine test, and they came back that I was pregnant. They did an ultrasound and a sonogram because they were thinking maybe it was an Ectopic Pregnancy. After they did both tests, they said that everything looked well. Has anyone else had similar problems or know anyone who has? Is this normal for a normal pregnancy?
