i found out i was pregnant the saturday after valentines(2-16) ...i met with a midwife the following wednesday evening(2/21)...we got a heart beat of 147 and a due date of at or around 9/18
since then i have met and started seeing the ob who delivered my lil bro and sis, and on april 22 he did a u/s, and pushed me back to a due date of 10/25, stating that i miscalculated my dates, and that i was way off...(today i would be 20 weeks according to midwife, only 15 with ob)
well, i already knew if i had mentioned seeing a dr/midwife he would say non-applicable, that he does his own stuff...he is saying the baby is measuring small...at the time i had my u/s and he told me the new due date, i did not think to tell him i'd gotten a heartbeat on 2/21...he is saying i concieved between 1/27-2/4...that's impossible, b/c that would mean that on 2/21 the midwife got a very strong and easily accessible(it took like 1 minute to find HB), heartbeat, but by his calculations, i would have only been 21-25 days pregnant at that time...as i said i forgot the midwife, however sunday eve she called me and mentioned wether i wanted to meet with her, and gave me the date she found my *baby's* heartbeat.....well then it hit me! my ob MUST be off, and when i told him that my LMP was 12/11-12/16, and it put me ovulating xmas nite lol, he said no, that i was wrong ...now i'm upset, b/c i know his dates are NOT matching, and i'm honestly considering switching doctors even though i've known my ob for 10 years, and i met the midwife once!

i go back 3 weeks from tuesday, and i'm curious if i should bring this up!?

i apologize for rambling but that's cos i remembered her calling, and she just emailed me about a baby she delivered today, and was telling me the experience was like 1 i was hoping for.....and in the email she mentioned the dates, and i'm like OMFG!!!!!

I would definately mention your concerns with the dr. How in the world can you get a strong heartbeat at 25days pregnant??? That makes no sense. I am sure that your midwife has heard enough fetal heartbeats to tell the difference between yours and a baby's. I would express your concerns to your dr and if he is just unwilling to re-evaluate his dates then switch. I have dealt with dr's that just don't take your word for things and it makes it very difficult to have a good relationship with them. This is something that you just don't want to have to deal with while pregnant.
