Default Conception Question, Please Help!!

Hi! I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with this. Ever since I became pregnant I have been trying to figure out when I conceived. It is very difficult for me to know when I have ovulated because my cycles are between 34 - 44 days apart. I thought I conceived in June but my Dr. says July so I was hoping someone could see if I am calculating this correctly or not. The only time I would have absolutely conceived in June was on 6/5. I am not even sure if it would have been possible for me to conceive at that time because with my longer cycles I don't know if I was even ovulating. My period before 6/5 was on 5/21. I went and had my first u/s on 8/19 and at that time she told me I was about 7 weeks/ 1 day( including the two weeks for your period). I did have bleeding at the very end of June but I have never been sure if that was a real period or just implantation bleeding. I figured it was a period because it was heavy(not just spotting) and I had to use tampons. After that I never had another period. So according to my calculations if I had conceived on 6/5 at my first u/s I would have been atleast 10 weeks( gestational age) plus two weeks for my period. Isn't there somewhat of a difference in features and size between a 7 week baby and a 10 or 11 week baby? I just wanted to see if my calcualtions would be correct that I would have been about 10 weeks at the time of my first u/s if I in fact conceived on 6/5. So if anyone could please help I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!

most likely you didn't concieve on 6/5.. the bleeding you had after that was too heavy to be implantation and was more likely a period.. u/s dates are pretty accurate if they are done early on (like yours).. so I would say probably in july if I had to make an educated guess.

Yes, early u/s are most accurate at dating. I know for sure when my LMP was and I KNOW when we conceived, yet the baby is measuring 2 wks behind. The date they have conception as is impossible, but baby is consistently measuring at that size. And yes, there is a big difference in the fetus between a 7 & 10/11 wk u/s!

Early u/s can tell you how far along you are. There is a definite difference between a 7 week baby and an 11 week baby, so I don't think that kind of mistake can be made.
