Default What would you do?

Today I get a call from the principal. My 15 year old Freshman got in trouble in several classes today (all behavior related) so he gets a Friday school. He's a football player so there goes that. He is also ADHD and is refusing to take his medicine. All that said it's no excuse to do some of the things he did today. The question is what would you do? He had a homecoming dance tomorrow. Do I let him go? Because I am so upset right now I want to say no but is that a fair punishment? I really don't know. I'm very confused right now. My husband is ready to ground him for life and take away all privileges. I know that doens't work but that makes my relationship with him tense.

The weekend was all planned out and things should have gone great. I really wish I had never even received the call. I'm a mother of 3 with no true friends that I can even talk to about this. Just curious what everyone else would do.
