Default Brow Help?

Bobbe Joy is a longtime celebrity makeup artist who owns a small boutique in Beverly Hills. Bobbe Joy Makeup Studio was voted Best Brows in Los Angeles by Allure and InStyle magazine and she's here to answer your biggest brow dilemmas on this forum!

I’ve had my brows waxed and they seem to be getting thinner and thinner. What can I do to grow them back?

As a person who believes in the art of tweezing (not “plucking”…that’s for chickens!), there are many people today who are struggling to grow back badly waxed brows. First, if you cannot go to a professional, then here’s what you do. Let whatever hair will grow back do so. It might take as long as a year for them to fill in. Pencil in the shape of the brow that you want and only tweeze the hairs that are outside the line, then when you remove the pencil, the shape will be there. Repeat until they fill in. If they are still sparse, then use a little pencil in a slightly lighter color to act as a shadow behind the hairs to create some fullness.
