Swine Flu
Ugh, so I drop off Dean to school and they inform me they have an active case of swine flu, confirmed in his class. Dean plays with this girl, who vomited and had fever and of course was out today. I had a business appt and left him there but was freaked out all morning. However, he has already been exposed. Now it is a waiting game if symptoms appear and in Dallas. He went in today for his 6 mth appt and doc said everything was great and he could have stage 2 foods, etc.. However, I swear he feels warm to me. The doc today said no H1N1 vaccines until like end of October. I presume though it is possible for him to be exposed (along with all other 9 - 2 years olds in his class and he not get it, fingers crossed. I had my mother-in-law go pick him up today 1 hour after I dropped him off and Im holding him out rest of week while they sanitize more, clean toys, etc.. Doc today also said they dont treat it at all unless the kid is high risk. Im like thinking though...aren't kids dying!!! Anyways, ugh! Fingers crossed I can keep my kids safe and healthy. LOTS OF HAND WASHING!
