I really dont want to start a debate by any means but more so an educational forum for parents stuck in the middle on this. That would be me. Honestly, I have huge reservations that this is a new vacciene, not yet 100% tested and safe, they dont know long term effects on kids, etc.. plus the whole thing that one in a million of the vac. causes GBS. So, yesterday both of my boys got their regular flu shot, 1 of 2. My monster-in-law is bugging me to get H1N1 now for them. I said no. I know that the risks of the swine flu outweigh the risks of the shot but still...its just too new for my liking. My boys are healthy, no signs of breathing issues or asthma, etc.. I feel if the first sign of fever, nausea, cough, etc. I would take to doc and expect to be treated correctly, Tamaflu or whatever...and deal with it then. I have decided not to vaccinate with the H1N1.

I would just like to hear from others, both positive and negative and no hard feelings to any. That is our freedom and a great one it is to decide things like this but a very frustrating and hard decision to make.

I hope I am making the right one.
