cross-contamination question
I have two questions... what is the rule about saving the rest of a meal for a later time? So often I portion out what I think she'll eat for lunch, and then she refuses it after maybe one or two bites. I hate to waste what's left, but I'm also worried about the spoon that has been in her mouth and then back in the food once or twice. I typically get rid of leftovers, but always feel guilty doing it. Is it safe if I save it in the fridge from lunch 'til dinner on the same day?
I have a similar question about Tylenol, where the dropper is also the lid. It's not always convenient for me to rinse the dropper if we're out somewhere, so I have no choice but to stick it back in the bottle. They designed it that way, so I guess it's okay - but I've always wondered about that, too.
