trying for #1
This is a discussion on trying for #1 within the PG After Birth Control forums, part of the General Pregnancy category; dh and i started ttc about a yr ago and after trying clomid, hcg injections and having a hsg done ...
dh and i started ttc about a yr ago and after trying clomid, hcg injections and having a hsg done and constantly getting af we went on the pill. i was having periods that would last 2 weeks and i would go 2-3 days then have another period, so when i went on the pill i stopped having on all together.
on april 5 i decided to see if my body was ready, after 8 months of being "shut up", i spoted off and on until april 11 when i had light flow. the 12 was full force and the 13 was med untill that evening and it stopped. i havnt bleed at all sence then so im hoping and praying that its going to work this time around.
dh is gone for the next 2 weeks so theirs no chance of getting pg this month. do you think its to early to start trying in may?
how long does it normally take to get pg after bc?

Hey! Good luck on ttc, I was on birth control for two years, and got off around thanksgiving, 2007. A month later, I was pregnant, so it can happen soon! Praying that you get your baby soon!

i kinda jump around hehe! when i first started here (1 yr 8 months ago sigh...) i mainly posted on ttc 6+months, the preparing ttc and the 2ww. oh and i was also on the clomid board, but im not ever ever ever doing clomid again so i waont be seen there ;p. the doc wants me to try injectables with iui's, but i want to try on my own for a while. my body feels so different now, like it wants to do its thing kwim? i posted a thread called "im back" and i think i list in there my story....cant remember what board it was lol! was eith the ttc 6+ Page Ranking preparing lol.

Just wanted to tell you good luck and don't give up ! I used to be a member of this board eons ago. Get your way back machine out lol But back when it was an ezboard and at first when it switched to a sheknows board this place was REALLY busy ! I've been around for about 6yrs ! I now just pop in and out mainly because I don't have the time I used to have BUT I say don't give up because it will happen I CAN PROVE IT !
Some may pop in here and be able to affirm it but I'll only be breif about it because I'm on dial -up lol
Six years ago I went off bcp never had any problems getting pg at all . Heck if my dh even looked at me I'd get two lines on a hpt . Then we decided to try and add #3 and tried and tried and tried... We went through just about every test , treatment , suggestion ... that you can think of and nothing ! We did get pregnant a few times but nothing ever stuck.Then came more tests but were never clued in on anything just told it was "bad luck" and "unexplained INfertility" ouch ! Eventually it lead to our seperation.
I remarried 2yrs go and we had two miscarriages and a mirad of other problems getting pregnant . Again all unexplained ! But , guess what ? I'm happy to say that as of today I am 18 weeks pregnant !!! There are lots of bits and pieces I left out but if you want to know the details I'll spill lol
I wish you nothing but the best and hang in there on getting advice from here as I'm pretty sure the "old crew " is around here as we can never leave but getting the time to respond is another thing.
man this cy has been a mess! i have had constant bleeding off and on! i am thinkng about trying something new next cy. i want to try epo once af comes taking untill i ovulate then switch to flax seed oil and start progesterone cream after ovulation untill next af or better yet i get pg! my only concern is...should i ask for a perscription for progesteron from my doc or is it safe to try the natural cream from the herbal drug store?

YES you can get pg right away! After being on the pill for 7 years continuously, I never even got a withdrawl bleed from the pill when I got pg. I literally got pg within 2-3 days of going off the pill.
