Emily doesn't need a single darn toy but her grandparents are insisting on ideas for her upcoming 2nd birthday. Anyone have a toy at home that their toddler can't live without?

Emily's favorites are:
- my potato head - the best $5 i've ever spent!
- a tutu
- a plastic kitchen dish set
- our dog (ha, ha!)

My girls love books, Little People, little plastic tea sets, Duplo blocks (they even make girly princess and Dora blocks), baby dolls and doll strollers (Sophie got a buggy for her 2nd b-day, and I wasn't thrilled but she really liked it), bags, boxes and nesting toys. That's all I can think of right now- it does seem that the toys are going to drive us out of our house. Every so often we purge the bad ones/ annoying ones and try to cut down the number, but I swear they multiply at night. Good luck!

Olivia is a big fan of Little People, our dog too , coloring/painting stuff, her cell phone, and her baby.
I can't believe that we are going to have so many 2 year olds on this board soon! It still seems like yesterday that they were born.

Blocks and puzzles are suddenly big favorites here (those puzzles with cut-out shapes that the child fits in); Nicky never bohered with them until he turned 2!!!
And in my opinion, you can never have enough books!
