Icon8 So I Took Your Advice & Called the Doctor

So I called my doc yesterday to tell him about my pg and find out what I need to do now since I obviously still have this polyp and also to ask if having the polyp (which already caused one m/c most likely means I'll have another m/c). Of course, my doc won't be in the office until Thurs.-- ughh!-- so I ended up speaking to the head prenatal nurse there who is usually very nice.

She seemed ANNOYED at me for getting pg. Not only did she NOT congratulate me (which REALLY ticked me off)...but, I lied and said that I just found out yesterday morning and she said -with attitude- "You CAN'T have the surgery now you know," and then made a loud obnoxious sigh. I felt like I had to defend myself so I said "We weren't trying. I O'd a week earlier than I ever have before (which is the truth) and she said "Uh huh." Then I asked if the polyp would most likely cause a m/c and told her my temps seemed low and she said "Not necessarily. I don't know if you'll m/c. I'll transfer you up front so you can make an appt. to come in for a beta." Then she just put me on hold and transfered me.

Am I right to be a tad bit pissed? She was so not nice to me and had no interest in addressing my concerns or anything.

Ugh. That was just RUDE. I can't believe that a nurse would act like that. I would speak to the doctor about how you were treated. I mean, you're already concerned about something, it's just wrong to make you feel even worse about something you really had no control over.

What a *****! I would tell your OB how awful she was. How she treated you was completely inappropriate.

Oh man, I hate feeling dismissed like that! I would call back and talk to the doctor to hopefully get your concerns addressed.

And, CONGRATULATIONS!! I hope everything works out for you!!
