Default Conceiving after Alesse

Hi Everyone - I'm new to the site. We are just ttc now and I would like to know if anyone has any stories to share about getting pg after coming off Alesse.
My doc said that it only takes 2 days for Alesse to leave your system, and as long as your off bcp cycles are normal, no need to wait 2-3 months like some docs recommend.
Mine are 28 days, and I can time af to the hour most months whether I am on or off bcp. We came off bcp on July 31. I am having either early pg symptoms or killer pms. Bloating, pulling type cramps in lower abdomen, can't stand anything touching my breasts, things smell strange and my sense of taste is way off. I have had a lowgrade headache for 4 days now, and had a bit of spotting yesterday with no cramps. Can't test until Friday, af due Monday.

Any advice or stories to share?

I used Alesse prior to ttc, and I had a lot of the same issues you are describing for the first cycle after stopping them. It took me two or three cycles to get back to 'normal'.

If you've been off them for 2.5 weeks, you could have ovulated right on day 14 and be having really, really early pg symptoms. Good luck ttc!

So much for the first try - af reared her ugly head 4 days early.... Just means that we get to have lots of fun trying next week!
We didn't expect anything this time round, but it's disappointing nonetheless....
It's nice to know I'm not the only one that is in this boat....

I am in the same vote just started ttc. I was on Alesse for 9 years and only stopped on 09/01/08. I'm not sure if being on the pill this long will affect our chances of ttc sooner or not but we will see I guess. My doctor told me it shouldn't and I could become pregnant anywhere from 1+ months after coming off the pill. I am having a lot of the same symtoms as well. Cramps in lower abdomen, can't stand anything touching my breasts, my nipples are very senstitive and my sense of taste is way off. I have had a lot of nausea lately and all for 4 days now. I should be starting my period October 1st if my cycle is normal, as I only just came off the pill though my cycle may not be correct? I don't usually begin any of these symptoms until about 2 days before I am supposed to start so to start them now is odd to me. I guess we will find out in a couple of weeks should I say? I would like to hear what more have to say about this topic, it's great to see I'm not the only one.
