Wanted to drop a hello to you all

I went through and read a bunch of the posts and realized, hey, I know some of these people! I remember a lot of names from the TTC 2+ years board and thought it would only be appropriate to drop a line to say hi and share my news.

A refresher for those who might remember me:
I was formerly curlyhair10 (Tina) from NC and DH and I had been trying for 4 years to have baby #1. Well, it finally happened for us! We had been dealing with male-factor infertility. He had low counts and low motility. We had decided to just live a childfree life and if it happened, it would happen. No drugs or medical assistance of any kind. I found out Easter morning and I'm now 11w2d.

I had an ultrasound on 5/19 and finally saw our baby moving around, waving and tapping it's foot. The nurse measured the heartbeat at 179bpm. So far, everything has been going great. I love discovering all the new stuff every day. It still hasn't hit me that I'm pregnant, partially b/c I haven't seen any real big changes, or felt anything yet. I'm still over the moon excited though.

Anywhos, enough of me babbling. I just wanted to share my news with some of the people who were there during the rough times. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

It is fantastic to have you drop in with your good news!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Why not stick around and share the rest of it with us, it sounds like you are definitely a Babydust Grad!!!

And you are almost out of the first trimester - how are you feeling?

hearing stories like yours. A million CONGRATS!!!

It took us about 2 years to get pregnant and it didn't sink in until I felt the baby kicking around 18-19 weeks. Although the 1-2 weeks of nausea in December helped me realize I was pregnant.

We had tried on our own for about 1.5 years and then spent about 1/2 year having various tests and procedures done. We got pregnant shortly after we decided to let nature take its course for the next 1-2 years. We were going to take the time to work on a long-range adoption plan (i.e. saving $) and had just decided not to go to a RE right away. Sometimes, it is so amazing to see what happens when we let go.

CONGRATULATIONS! I think I remember lurking over on your DI board and saying hello as well. Your screen name is something I totally relate to. Stick around here....the majority of the action on this board is on the weekly PG Buddies thread, so be sure to pop in over there.

I am SO HAPPY you are a "Grad"......you are in the right place. I TTC'd with my ex for 3+ years with no results. I had a lap (endo, etc) and he also had the SA which showed problems there as well. I'm not sure what would have happened. We couldn't afford to pursue even Clomid due to the monitoring, etc., costs, and we made our peace for the moment, with the intent to try with an RE down the road. In the interim we split, and I ended up in law school and on BCPs

My new beau (now husband) and I eventually decided to start trying when that 30th birthday started getting closer. We amazingly got pg right away in December. I miscarried in January but somehow ended up pregnant right away again before even having a normal period. My doctor thinks the combo of the long stretch of BCPs (which were great for my endo symptoms) and the 'upgraded' partner

made the difference. He thought the BCPs helped put the endo into a bit of remission, and perhaps it was always more of a male-factor anyway.

Ah, I totally digress............anyway, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

I remember you, but I can't think of which board it was, but I totally remember your old screen name

I have used this one since I got pg in 2002, but I used to be BabyGirlVibes, I think I hosted a board that you were on. Anyway

Thank you all for the well wishes. I still can't believe it, even after knowing for 5 or so weeks.

When we were on the old server, I was on TTC 6+ months, TTC 2+ years, Baby Dust Grads, as well as some others, but not as often. I was all over the place. I remember how I would go to the pregnancy side and read all the Due In....boards just to see what was happening and thinking to myself "Oh I wish I could experience this!" So when I finally got to join a Due In.. board, I was over the moon excited!

OverAnalyzer, I remember you speaking to me on the DID board! We are like the old ladies with all the cats, only we are younger and it's all nieces and nephews instead!!

I'm gonna try to join in on the conversations somewhere. I don't usually have much to add but I'll give it my best. I am just happy that I get to share this wonderful journey of motherhood with all you wonderful ladies!
