Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
I have to say that june would be a great month for a baby Rachel!!!!!! GL!!!!!
Okay, here is my dilemma. Mason does not like being on his tummy. It doesn't matter if I am down there on the floor with him, etc. So, needless to say he is not rolling over yet. Yes, he is 3 months now. Any ideas on anything i can do to help him? Should I be concerned?

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
Isaac hated to be on his tummy. He didn't even lift or try to lift his head at 3 months. So rolling over was lateish too, as I can remember.
We visited dh at work earlier. Both made a mess in his drawers like usual.
Btw, June might possibly end up being a late May. All depends on Af.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
Kristen~ does he like laying on a boppy instead of the floor? We did that at first until Seema started to like her tummy more. Sometimes I put Seema on the bed propped up on belly by the boppy while I got dressed and she seemed to like being up higher than the floor b/c she could see more. Oh and the dr told us that tummy time could be if you lay them across your lap too.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
We also did tummy time on a boppy pillow and also lying on my stomach so he could see my face. He rolled over for the first time (tummy to back) at exactly three months. Back to tummy was a while later. He just didn't care to do it.
Geez, now there's no stopping him. He's rolling and flipping and crawling and cruising and falling and scooting all over the place.
I'm sure he's doing just fine....they all do things on their own terms.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
I agree with Carey....he's just going his own pace. We did do a little 'face time' w/J on my chest looking up at me (on his tummy -- like tummy to tummy) which made it last a little longer.
Rachel -- May or June would both be good birthstones, right? Your temp does look like AF is creepin' up on ya. But stranger things have happened, right?

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
Tomorrow will be the day (AF Day). But yes, strangest things can happen. That is what I call miracles Kidding.
Isaac had so much fun with his cousin today. They played and played. My nephew had a bad cold, but it didn't stop him playing though. So after he left, I cleaned and lysoled everything.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
Thanks ladies. He does hold his head up really well, and will sit up if I am holding his hands, etc. So, I am not worried about his neck muscles or anything. I think I will just start trying it with the boppy and see how that works out.
Thanks again girls!
Also, when did you get AF after having your baby? I haven't had one yet, so I was just a little concerned. I am still bf like twice a day.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
I got them when I was 5/6 weeks pp. Lucky me, haha. Some people get them back right away while others take about 8 months to a year.
And as you can see AF came today, right on time.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
I was thinking earlier and June would be absolutely perfect. Isaac would still be in preschool in May and with the baby being a newborn then, not a good idea. The crying, fussing, up all night, and with the kids getting used to it, and Isaac being in school inbetween that, not a good time. He would be done with school by June. Last day would be May 20-something. So June is perfect. Im now happy that it didn't happen in May (although it would have been nice-kwim). Cheers for June!

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
Rahcel - June would be awesome. It was such a great transition with the boys, to have the whole summer for them to get to spend time with the little guy. I am crossing my fingers for you.

Re: PG and Baby Buddies: August
Kristen- Despite Nick being quite strong and holding himself up real well on his tummy for months, he still hasn't rolled over. Some kids just take their time with certain things. Alex was the same, in fact, I think she may have rolled over back to tummy before tummy to back. Don't worry. It's still early.
