Icon14 o/t tv shows

What have you been watching since the writers' strike?

Has anyone been watching Lipstick Jungle? I started watching this when it first premiered and I'm loving it. It's by the creators of Sex And The City (which I've watched all the re-runs of too). I'm so looking forward to their movie too!!

Other than that I've only been watching AI.

I'll occassionally catch American Idol. Sam likes to dance to the music.

I also like Jon & Kate Plus 8 and Big Brother (this is the first season I've watched of BB).

I've been watching AI off and on and Big brother. I am hooked on BB for some strange reason. I want to know all the spoilers and stuff this time too. it might be because I had showtime for a while (diret tv gave it to us for a month as they mess something up) and we got to see the "behind the scencs stuff." Oh well that's over but I can still read spoilers on line. Other than that we have not really watched much.

I occasionally watch Lipstick Jungle or Cashmere Mafia if they are on, DH is getting the boys down, and I'm either nursing the baby or she's already down and I'm starting to clean the kitchen. Obviously multiple stars have to align. Yeah, neither one grabbed my attention good enough to bother TIVOing it and they certainly aren't DH's types of shows so he has no desire to TIVO them for later either. I also have a tendancy to flip between Eli Stone and which ever one of the above mentioned chick shows is on at the same time.

That said, we aren't TIVOing ANYTHING right now. Figure we haven't even found time to watch the last 2 episodes of PP or Las Vegas given DH's new responsibilities at work. I figure we're more likely to find time to watch off those and be ready for Grey's if we don't add to the list. (Speaking of Grey's, has anyone noticed that they have the new commercial on ABC clarifying that it does start 4/24???)

Mostly I'm just in mourning that the writers' strike killed 24. I always look forward to January so I can get my Jack fix, and I was highly bummed when they didn't even get around to writing it. I'm going insane over there not being any 24. I almost look more forward to Mondays than Thursdays during 24 season. I think probably cause I know DH actually watches it for himself, and he probably watches Grey's more for me.

We watch AI, but not out of lack of anything else to watch. It has always been our dinner time entertainment since it's clean cut & more like background music for our conversation. It's honestly the only reason I watch it passed the auditions. I love the auditions and don't usually care which of the 12 finalists win. But decent background noise, is decent background noise....KWIM? But since I do watch it each week, I still generally comment on who I liked and who I'd like to see go.

On a side note.........does anyone else think it's weird that during a supposed "writers' strike" some writers somewhere found the time to write two almost identical 'girly' shows.........Lipstick Jungle & Cashmere Mafia. Weird.......basically the same concept and even a similar name (kinda sorta). I just find it odd.

Cyndi, I seem to recall that both of those shows were already in the hopper as mid-season replacements...LOL you conspiracy theorist.

I haven't started 24 yet. But I'm excited.

We watch Friends re-runs.

2 and a half men; how I met your mother for the first time tonight (Britney was a guest star and I love a good train wreck. Actually, she was pretty funny....) We tivo house, Law and Order, SVU, AI and Dancing w/the Stars. Oh, and Biggest Loser. We don't get everything watched, but it is there when we need something.

Cahmere has Lucy Liu on it. Cant remember what channel its on. Don't watch it either.

Just a fact...this baby was conceived while watching BBAD (Big Brother After Dark), last season. Thought youd all like to know
We don't have showtime anymore so can't watch the behind the scene stuff anymore.
BB is my all time fav reality show and the only one I dare to be on.

Last season I was sooooo into spoilers and such. This year no. For me, spoilers kinda ruins the fun out of watching since youll know what will be happening.

I loved how Dick said a comment about they still had the same frying pan, LOL.
