Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
Still counting, yay. Had a rough night tho but I doing fine today except for my aching back. Also I think Im getting the boys colds. I can feel it coming but it isn't here yet. I took a Sudafed last night and this morning. Im thinking of having dh get some Zicam when he gets Isaac's cold medicine.
Carson got worse and he is on some steriod meds (pred) and breathing treatments. Seems to be getting better but still looks rough. Isaacs getting better as well but still says his nose hurts, lol.

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
Rachel - just wanted to say again that you are very much in my thoughts.
Can't stop for long as I have some painting to do. I have made a giant 3D jester head for Jake's room and I am painting psychedelic swirls across one wall and some comic book writing. It's taking ages though! I thought that I would be done days ago. The jester's head is black and white but when you turn off the lights it has it's entire face covered in Maori Moko (traditional Maori tattoos) that glow in the dark. My husband says that Jake will be too frightened to sleep in there when its finished, lol.
It's also the Playcentre disco today. Kids disco until 8:30 then we have an adults only disco that runs until we fall over too tired to dance anymore The DJ will stay all night if we want. This is our second Playcentre disco and I didn't stay for the after party of the first (John took me home ) but I heard the gossip so I am definitely going to be a voyeur this time! There was lots of groping action allegedly - and that was just the Moms! There is also a chance that I may ovulate in the next two days so I will have to crawl home eventually, if you know what I mean! I am not drinking though so it will be interesting to see how long I can party for sober. I'll let you know how it goes

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
I just wanted to check in on you Rachel. I swear, my middle one Jackson, and Mason too were soo low for so long, that my Dr. told me that he didn't know how I was able to walk around for the last month of my pg. Even my oldest one was head down and super low about a month ahead of due date. The last month or so I just walk around in pain. I feel for you right now.
I can't believe that my baby is going to be a year. We have started mixing his formula with whole milk, to help him start getting used to it. It's just so crazy. He eats everything too. He loves avocados, mashed potato, loves pasta. I think he would eat pretty much anything that didn't eat him first. LOL!

Just popping on.
Sorry 'bout the mastitis -- Are you getting engorged or clogged ducts a lot?
Rachel -- happy you're still in the land of the pregnant for now.
I have been scrapbooking all weekend. Also got to do a little baby snuggling w/two NBs!!!!!!

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
Rachel ~ I'm glad that baby is still baking, hopefully she/he stays put for at least another week.
Lisa ~ Congrats on the new car! I need to get one, but there's now way I could get around anywhere with my crew. Braeden is also in the defiant stage & drives me crazy! I don't know what to tell you about weaning since Braeden is still bf'ing at night. I always said I would go until my kids were 1, he's 21 mo!
Missy ~ Alyssa is a cutie! Right now I am at the "done by 2" stage & hoping that he is. I love bf'ing, but I am so done with it right now. We are down to night feedings, have been since he was 13 mo I think, but I am wondering now if that was a good idea, or if I should have weaned at night first.
Claire ~ Congrats on your grandson, 3 mo late, but hey He is adorable! He was born on my son Chandler's 8th bday
Michelle ~ I hope that the mastitis goes away soon, I know that it's painful!
Kristen ~ I can't believe Mason is almost 1, where did the time go?
Update from me. Everyone is doing good. As you know I broke my ankle/leg & had to have surgery, it went well & I've started the healing process properly. I went in Thur & had my after surgery cast removed, the staples taken out & finally got to see what it looked like, yuck! I now have a new cast on, and will have to wear it for 3 weeks, in which time I will have to go in for x-rays to see how my bones have healed. Then I will get my last cast on, not sure how long, that will be determined after we see the x-rays. And from there we will figure out how long my physical therapy will be.
The kids are good, they are almost done with school, they get out the 21st. I miss work, I loved taking pics. In fact the one of Braeden in my siggie is one that I took. I have done Chandler's, Braeden's & some of the 4 of them together. I will try to post some this week. We are not, nots again. I think we may have to watch this month, we had one or two slip ups, so kind of nervous. I expect af around the 15th, so we shall see. Anyway I think that's it for now, try to check in soon

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
Michelle sorry about the mast coming back!! Hope the meds kick in soon.
Rachel I was coming here to check on you. How are you holding up?
Kristen~ I've been wondering about how to start milk too. Are you doing the mix in a bottle or sippy?
Seema won't eat but a few bits of baby food every meal time. I don't know what to do. She doesn't even eat anything else except formula. I can get her to eat a couple goldfish but no real interest. She's also been constipated for 2 weeks, but yet she poos 3-4x a day but it's a solid lump and she cries when it comes out. I'm going to call the dr on Monday. I really don't like that she won't eat.
Would this have to do with her teething? She just got her 4th tooth on Friday and I can see another one popping through too.

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
I think I might be in the 2WW!!! Yippee!
Hi Lynne! It;s great to hear from you
Rachel - woohoo for still being pregnant. Any more signs that something might be happening?
Michelle - it should be finished either today or tomorrow and I will definitely share. I have spent the whole week recovering from the disco. Only had two hours sleep on Friday night and there have been one or two things on my mind of late
Lisa - just sharing the love girl and saying hi.
I'm off to Playcentre, which will not be embarrassing at all. Deep breath Claire.

LOL, no. I'd have to be really drunk for that to happen!
Michelle, could it be thrush? I've been through that a few times with my little ones. It's hard to tell as the pic is a little blurry but maybe google some images or oral thrush and see if they look similar.
Sarah - it definitely sounds like it could be caused by teething.
Just got back from Playcentre. I survived. My wonderful reputation may be slightly tainted but it's still mostly intact.
I am getting too old for this excitement.

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
Seema had thrush when she was younger. Here's something you can do to test. Take a wet washcloth and rub it on her tongue, if the white comes off it's probably just milk, if it stays then I'd say thrush. Also, does she have round circles on white dots on her cheeks that don't rub off? That's what Seema had too. If it doesn't come off get an appt. She will need meds and you'll have to put med cream on your nips (eww! and it's yellowish!!) GL!

It's 12 months size. I can give it to you when she grows out of it, probably the end of summer though. Let me know.

Re: MAYbe we should start a new CHAT THREAD...
Sarah - I would bet that it's because of teething, JMO though. I am doing some milk in a bottle. I need to start integrating the cup more, I know. But, I just do half milk, and half formula. He is doing just fine with it.
Michelle - it looks like thrush to me, especially if it is on her cheeks too. my middle one had that once.
Yeah, I can't believe that my baby is going to be one. I think I am in denial. I just don't want it to happen. Why do they have to grow up so fast anyways?
Lynne - I hope that recovery is going well. KUP!
