Default April Chatters: Post Here:

So what is going on in your neck of the world?

We've had a busy weekend. For us, anyway...Friday we did nothing special. Just played and watched TV. Saturday AM Joey and I went to the Art Center for a play date. Saturday afternoon we went to a friend's B-day party. It was Joey's first go at bowling. I'll post a picture. It was quite funny. We had chili (as it was SNOWING) and just chilled out after Joey went to bed. I was reading Claire's blog so we didn't get to the movie we've been planning to watch (Atonement? Any reviews?)

Today we got up and had Joey's photos taken at the local grocery store...I know. Sounds goofy, but they have a studio that is like Sears/Penneys and it is 2 minutes away and about 2/3 the price. I got a package for 29.99 which was enough b/c Joey was not cooperative and once I had him there I realized how WRONG the outfit was that I picked. I sometimes have weird ideas. This was one of them. It is cute in theory...just not easy to keep from looking all rumpled. If they let me buy the CD I will so I can show you ladies.

Still fighting congestion from allergies. Blech. Laundry running. OH and I did manage a RUN w/Joey yesterday. Run-walk. He was in the jogger...until the last 3 blocks. He was bawling (it got a little cold...) so I took him out and carried him whilst pushing the jogger. That was fun.

My new signature pic is a shot from the Art Center yesterday. They have this beautiful atrium and Joey and his friend had a blast running around chasing each other. The only interactive play they did the entire time. The colorful bits in the background are the current art display in the atrium...it is called a 'site-specific' creation. It is really cool...looks like a kid got crazy in art class with the scissors and the felt. (In a good way. I love it!) I'm going to upload some pics in a bit.

What's shakin' elsewhere?

Girl you are almost 33 weeks pregnant. HOLY CRAP!

We went to Lowes and Target. Woo hoo. Mark constructed a 'chute' for me from the kitchen door to the basement, where it leads into a trash can. We've been fighting about the fact that he THROWS away nickle deposit cans and bottles...he hates them sitting in the kitchen. Now we're both happy. Lord knows I drink enough pop.

I wish we can still get refunds for bottles. For cans, we have to save a garage full in order to get something. Actually Im not sure if they still do that or not.
Ive always say, while looking at the states and their refund money on the cans and bottles, "Lucky ducks. Wished we still have that".

33 weeks.... And tonight I had a few hours of nasty contractions. I was in tears. They were REAL contractions. They are gone now, but they were quite regular for a couple of hours, then started to go away. So I have been taking it easy, laying and drinking water.
