Wild Harvest Organic Macaroni and Cheese
We always "doctor up" our usual Kraft macaroni and cheese dinners when I cook them by adding chicken tenders (cut up into bites) and adding brocolli. It is my attempt to make them a bit healthier. Since we are a family of four, I ended up combining both the regular cheddar macaroni and cheese and the white cheddar macaroni and cheese dinners from Wild Harvest Organic along with the chicken and brocolli.
I didn't tell the kids that this wasn't the "usual" macaroni and cheese we have because my 8-year-old son seems to resist changes in his food quite a bit and doesn't like to try anything new.
Surprisingly, this was a big kit with not only my 8-year-old son but my 5-year-old daughter as well. My son thought it I added more cheese to it because it seemed "cheesier" than normal, and my husband like the variation with the white cheddar, as it seemed to have more of a punch to the taste. I could also tell the difference, and it was a great combination of the two cheeses when combined together.
If I was to do this over again, I would have probably added some more real cheddar cheese to the dish ONLY because there wasn't quite enough cheese to properly infiltrate the brocolli and chicken. That isn't the fault of the product; it is just the result of the way I cook with it.
