Default Food Allergies

One percent of our population has a deadly allergy.

100 people die per year in the U.S. alone due to a food related allergy (anaphylactic shock).

I will be participating in Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network's Walk for Food Allergies in October. I ask that you all check out my site Mayas Happy Placeand if you feel moved to, get involved. Go to the upcoming events section and send a secure donation on my walker page. All donations go towards research, funding FAAN which is a non-profit organization dedicated to food allergy and anaphylaxis research.

I have the peanut, soy, tree-nut allergy and have been hospitalized several times. I am now 28 and am blessed to still be alive with all the food out there that is shared with equipment and made with those foods. I created the website in the hopes that people like me can find foods they can enjoy, share recipes, have a happier outlook, have an outlet to voice their ideas and opinions and know they are not alone.
