I got to the hosp. and was brought in for an NST and u/s. At 11:30 I was given my first dose of mioproxil (sp). It was okay at first. DH and my mom got to the hosp. at 1:30. At 3:30 I was given my 2nd dose and things went from okay to painful. But, I had only dialated to 3cm. By 1am, I was screaming in pain with poor Dh sitting at my side scared out of his mind. My mom and sister slept through it which is kinda funny. At 4am, I went to the bathroom and had bloody show and I was brought to L&D. I was 3cm 80% effaced when I got to L&D and within 30 minutes I was 4cm, 90% and was screaming in pain. They broke my water and hooked an internal monitor to the baby. I was screaming and crying, poor DH was bawling, I think from fear. Tried a birth ball for awhile, sitting on the toilet and sitting in a rocking chair. By 10 am I was in soooo much pain the midwife gave me no choice, but to get my epi. At 10:30 I was 5cm, 90%, got my epi and didnt feel another thing. That is until the pressure. At 1;00 I was ready to go, but baby was still -2 so they wanted to wait to see if baby would come down. By 1:57 she was -1 and we started to push. DH got dizzy and nasuous so he was no help. He asked my mom and sister to stay so it was a party. After 20 min. of half hearted pushing (I was afraid of BMs during labor, I know, silly), I told DH to man up and gave it my all. At one point I did tell the midwife that I changed my mind about the whole thing. the whole room was laughing.

What a suprise to to hear "It's a girl!". I was in shock!! At 2:57 pm Maddalena Marcia Zesner was born. Marcia is my middle name also. She was 7lbs 12.8oz, 21in, 13 1/2 cm. head. She is beautiful!!! I will send pics when DH comes home with my camera. She is eating like a good girl, but she is "tongue tied" (the skin under her tongue is too long). The pediatrician said we are going to wait and see if it becomes a problem before they snip it which is fine. I feel amazing!! A few stitches in the front and back. Maddie really tore me up, but no pain meds at all and minimal bleeding. Although, my nipples did bleed a little. Well, gotta go feed Maddie. Hope everyone is doing well. I caught up on somes posts. May be a little until I get to all. DH's job gave him a real hard time so he is at work right now!! What asses!
