Does anyone have info on the vitamin K shot?

I heard mixed reviews on this as well and wanted to read about it, to make an informed choice. At our hospital, they don't have any alternatives (like Oral vitamin K) so you either have to do it or opt out. It is done automatically so I will have to sign a refusal form...

I plan on refusing the eye ointment. I don't see the point in it and I honestly think they over medicate babies as is. I know why they give it and the reasons it is "routine", but I don't want to give it to Jenna.
