Here it is- short and sweet: (x-post)

I went in on Wed. night to get cervidil put in, in preparation for induction on Thursday. After an uneventful night with basically no sleep due to the monitors, etc. contractions started at about 6AM. By 7 they were full blown and I was not a happy camper. The midwife came in at 8 and I asked for an epidural which was a thing of beauty. God bless the anesthesiologist!! She said I was at 5 cm and my bag of waters was bulging so she went ahead and broke it. We never did the pit. as things were going just fine on their own. I had painless contractions until 11:50 then said I felt like I was feeling the pressure to push. Sure enough I was at 10cm. I started pushing at 11:55 and she was born without incident at 12:22. They (the nurses) took one look at her and said that she was really big and they all guessed around 9 lbs. Turns out she was 10 lbs even and 22.5 inches long! So, even though my labor was a bit longer this time, it was without pit. and .....drumroll, please.....no stiches!! Yahoo! I was up and showered a sort time later, family came and went and at 3 PM Miss Rebecca and I were alone in the room wondering what to do with ourselves for the rest of the day! What a great experience. She is a great baby, makes all sorts of squeeky sounds which are adorable and eats/sleeps well, too!
Now if I can figure out how to juggle 3 I will be all set.....but that is for another day *smiles*
