A Little Behind...
MIA and in desperate need of sleep, but I finally have cleared my house of "help" and am enjoying my newly expanded family. I apologize for the delay ladies, however my little Hannah Spence made her 7lbs 6oz and 20.25 inch welcome right on her due date, March 6th. Despite DH thinking that my contractions were not the real thing again, I at least convinced him to head in the direction of the hospital during rush hour! We arrived somewhere after 6pm at 5 minutes apart and they admitted me at 5cm...pretty much skipped triage. Had antibiotics at 7:15 and an epidural somewhere during the first episode of "Lost" after 8pm....comfortably watched the rest of the episode and the new episode when POP and my water broke at 9:55 (still haven't seen those last few minutes of the episode!). I must have yelped (didn't feel it with DD) because I scared the pants off of my nurse and DH. Totally wanted to push and the baby must have dropped like a rock the minute it happened because the pressure was crazy. DH tells me he never saw a dr. get dressed so fast because they told me to go ahead and push at 10:11 and Hannah Spence was born at 10:16. Felt absolutly everything from the minute my water broke and admit it hurt a whole heck of a lot. But in retrospect since I didn't feel a thing with DD1, it was neat (for the 5 minutes it lasted and thankfully no more!) to know exactly where she was and that another push or two and she was out.
I am retarded when it comes to pictures, but at least wanted to let you know that I was missing for a good reason.
