And the hits just keep coming!!
It hasn't been a good couple of days. First we received the news that our son has not been accepted on the drug trial we have been holding out for.
Today, I received the news from my dad that my mum has breast cancer. I feel so sad and angry, sad for my mum and angry that I am so far away. I remember when we got the news that James had Muscular Dystrophy - my mum was on the first plane from Sydney to Singapore. I feel so bad though because I have 2 small kids and another on the way and it isn't so easy for me to get on a plane and go to her. I want to be with her, but the logistics just don't work out. I hate being so far away from home and knowing that my parents won't always be there.
At least I got some good news today - I passed my 3 hour glucose tolerance test (they don't do the 1 hour test here), so at least that's something to be happy about.
