"he's sooo tiny!!!"

this was the first thing i said when "baby boy" arrived, thursday morning at 8:54 am!! i was prepared for a 10pounder and he is a peanut compared to Margie!! 7lbs 7 oz and only 19.6he's so handsome, i kept thinking he would be early but i still cant believe he actually is here already! officially 8 days early. he is nursing well and was 6lbs 15 oz last night.

i started having contractions wed. night around 6, they got to be 5 mins apart around 10 pm so i called and asked when i should come and they told me to come in then to get checked. i was really afraid of being sent home for false labor but i was fairly sure something was going on.
well we went in and the contractions were def. there but i wasnt dialated at all!!! the nurse said that i was in very early labor and would have to have contractions at least every 4 mins consistantly to start so i could go home if i wanted. so we got home and as soon as i got my pjs back on and got settled back in bed the contractions got really intense and really close, like 1 min apart! i called the hospital and said im coming back now!!
we got back to the hosp. at 2am and i tried to ease the labor pains with the bath tub but it wasnt going to cut it. i started getting really sick and was sooo tired b/c i hadnt slept at all and i knew when it came time to push i wouldnt be having much fun. so i asked for something that would help me rest a little and i got some morphine in one arm and something else in the other. i still felt the contractions but the edge was offf and i was able to doze off a little bit.
at 8am i started coming around more and the dr. came in and checked me, i had no cervix! i went from 0-10 in 4 hours, half asleep. i was very happy about that! so the dr. broke my water at 8:30 am and had me lay on my side b/c the baby looked a little stressed since i had been on my back for so long. well i had 2 awful contractions and pushed twice and Harrison Edward was born with me still laying on my side, it was very fast and furious.
