I've said many times that because of Ava's demanding nature I'm not able to nurse P other than in the night when Ava is asleep. I pump and feed her and that works out really well. The past two days, pumping has been light - only about 3-4 oz per side in about 5-7 minutes of double pumping.
This morning Ava was up before P woke up to eat, so I decided to get my pump and do it in the bed with both girls laying down and Ava watching cartoons. P was still asleep. So I got hooked up and pulled my shirt over the bottles and started the pump. I checked the clock and waited for 5 minutes to go by so I could check my progress. Usually at 5 minutes I'm at 3 oz. When 5 minutes rolled over on the clock, I pulled my shirt up to check and found both bottles running over!

I couldn't seem to get my fingers over to turn off the pump fast enough and ended up with 2 big wet spots on my t-shirt front, right underneath the big yellow smiley face that my shirt had on it. Looked kind of like the smiley face had been crying.

It just struck me as funny. I went back to pumping after I emptied those and ended up with 5 oz per side this morning.
