Lyndal's post about her successful shopping trip got me to thinking...

For those who have BTDT with slings and/or carriers, do you have any advice? Any type that you love, hate, or in between? We received a Baby Bjorn for our shower before Christopher was born, and I literally hate it. Could never figure out how to get him into it without someone else's help (and let's face it, I'm with the kids by myself a LOT), and unless I was doing something wrong, I don't think it did a very good job of keeping his head from flopping around when he was a newborn. To me, that carrier was a lot of hype (seems like everyone was registering for Baby Bjorn's at that time) and for too much money.

Anyway, I'm thinking of going with a carrier (maybe more than one, to meet different needs as Ben grows) that will not only free up my hands when necessary, but hopefully allow me to nurse in public without exposing myself. Am I asking for too much?
