Decision update
Well, after much deliberation and anxiety and research and soul searching, we have decided not to do the amnio. The physical measurments were all normal, the HCG was normal, and only the PAPP-A was low and I have read that there can be many reasons for low PAPP-A. Considering what we have been through to get here and the fact that we would not terminate the pregnancy based on the results, and the risks involved, it is the right decision for us. I am just so glad to have made a decision and to feel at peace with the decision. We will read up on Down's and educate ourselves in order to be prepared if needed, but it will be eaiser on me not to know than to fear harming the baby. Again, the right decision for us, not for everyone. It is such a personal decision, and a tough one. The 20 week anatomical will be especially helpful to us in showing more than just gender. That will be a big one for us. So there you have it. Thanks again for your support through this.
