Default bfing worries

I did this same thing with DS..

I keep thinking Emma is not nursing enough because for several feedings she will only take each side for a few minutes.

She is wetting plenty, and pooping plenty. I do not know why I am worried..

She can go several hours without nursing, though I have been trying to wake her to nurse every 2 hours.

I read that babys stomachs is the size of a walnus right now, and my milk supply is very good. My let down also happens almost the second she latches on, and I also read that this will cause baby to not suck as long.

If I am feeling like this in a few days I am going to contact an LC just to be assured (or if I can just sense something is not right but right now she is pooping and peeing just fine and happy baby when she is awake). She is a very content baby, has her awake periods but likes to sleep too. She often stays awake for an hour and a half around the time DS gets home from school, she will nurse during this time.

DS nursed for like an hour at a time.. he could get "hooked up" in his sleep and nurse. DS did not sleep unless he was in my arms and would not fall asleep unless he had a boob in his mouth lol.

I am trying to remind myself this is a different baby. Its just hard..

She is a sleepy nurser too, so like this morning she would not wake up enough to nurse, I had to strip her down to her diaper rub her feet and back and talk to her a bunch. Finally she latched on for about 5 minutes and fell asleep.

Anyone else dealing with a short term suckle? I have been trying to get her to nurse nurse nurse because I want this yucky bilirubin outta her system. But I am lucky if she nurses every 2 hours, though usually by hour 3 she wants to eat. She nursed through the night last night every 2 hours, and the night before that every hour.

I have also officially banned the pacifier for a month or so... she does get really confused after getting the paci and then trying to latch on. I would rather her use me as a paci right now..
