DH left for basic at the beginning of last week and I'm dying for his first call! It's the worst wait of my life to date

Awww hon, hang in there, it may take a week or two, I've heard it may not be until the middle phase of basic. Keep writing him and know it will be over soon! (I know, not soon enough!!)

I can't believe a whole other week has passed without him It feels like it's been an eternity, and it's definitely been the worst 2 weeks of the year. Still no phone call, but when I get an address let me tell you he's going to have a crap load of letters from me. I have to write something new down every ten minutes it seems, even if it's something I know I've already said - 20 times!

At least I have an appointment next week to look forward too.

When my husband, then boyfriend, was in Marine Corps boot camp I wrote him every single day because with the Marines they don't get to call till the last week and theirs is 3 months long. He still to this day three years later tells me that my letters are what made him through it and that he looked forward to them. So keep writing even if you can't send them just yet and don't worry about repeating yourself I bet he wont care in the least bit. He just wants to hear from you.

Keep writing - my boyfriend tells me how it important it is. I haven't heard from him in 10 weeks, but he's deployed. I go weeks/months without hearing from him, but I email and write every day and then once a week I post the emails, just to make sure he's getting them, as I know he doesn't have access to communication, but mail is forwarded. I know it's tough when you want to hear from your loved one - but just keep supporting your boyfriend, keep contacting him daily and he'll really appreciate it! Hang in there.

depends on how much trouble him and his flight get into. LOL I was in the air force for 5 years. Air Force Basic training is something to look back at and laugh about when yr done. Im sure he;ll have some great stories, since you posted, he has probably called u by now
