Is this rude?

My 18 month old goes to an "open gym" where children 1-5 play..She LOVES it!!
Most of the parents and children are great, but there was an incident last week where my child was almost bit and my friend's child was bit!! By the same little girl!
I truly don't want this situation to happen again and am not sure if the mom and child will be back..
My question:
Is it rude to stear my little one away fromthis child? Cate is too young to understand, but I am looking out for her safety..
