I had my 34w2d Midwife appointment today. Things went great - but I did hear something that I DID NOT expect!!!! First, the stats ...

BP 120/60
HB 156
Weight +24lbs (total)

I had a list of questions. Including why I have become so swollen in the pelvic area, which was answered by her saying it feels like he has dropped a lot. Then a question about the "click" noise I have heard, which she answered by saying it is not the baby but more likely him kicking an organ and/or water bubbles popping.

She went on to tell me that based on my chart, my good BP and baby's HB that if I went into labor ANYTIME from today forward, they would not stop my labor!!!!!! She said he is feeling like a big boy and things have been great thus far. THEN my "WOW" moment ..................

She measured my belly ... I'M MEASURING 39 WEEKS!!!!!!!!! She said this is more than likely based on A. My height (I am only 5 foot tall) and B. He is feeling big (DS was born 8lbs 11oz). She is not worried about it although she did say she would like to know baby's weight (to get an idea) and also take a look to see if I am carrying extra fluid. To be on the safe side I have a U/S tomorrow at 10a. I am a bit nervous, although she told me she is not worried several times and just wants this done so we can get a better idea of why I have been measuring bigger. Part of me is also ecstatic to see this little guy!!!!!!

Please wish me luck - hoping I come back with just a simple answer as to why I am measuring big. I wouldn't even care if this boy was already 10lbs ... as long as he's healthy and things look great, then I will be happy too.

I think I am in shock over the fundal height, though. HAHA.
