Default Worry Wart!!

I posted a few weeks ago about fetal movement. That happens to be the topic this time around as well. My uterus feels much bigger and has popped out a lot more. I assumed by this I would feel more movement. For about a week I have only felt minimal movement. A little kick here or a flutter there. It's also more on my left side whereas at 13w, when I felt the first kick, baby was moving more on my right side. I do not remember DS having a certain side?! Is that normal?

Also, DH keeps trying to calm my nerves and said, "Maybe baby is just deep in your uterus or has burrowed so you can not feel movement as much right now." He says it with suck confidence and isn't worried about this at all. I wish I had his positivity in times like these!! LOL

I will be 18w tomorrow. I keep telling myself it's normal because baby is still very small and it's still early to feel movement. Although nothing makes you feel better than knowing other women have/are going through it too and it's a normal, okay thing to go through!! Which is exactly why I came to you ladies.

Thanks for listening!!

It seems like someone else posted about movement only on one side, but I don't remember who it was...so i'm no help there, but I do know it's completely normal feel absolutely no movement at this stage and any movement felt it is just our good luck! It's completely normal to not feel the baby very much or very regularly until like 25+ weeks, they are very small and they have to be positioned just right for us to feel any movement at all...Hope that makes you feel better!!

With my first pregnancy I started feeling regular kicks at 16w5d and my dh could feel movement at 17w. I am 18 weeks tomorrow and this baby moves completely differently. Honestly, unless I lay in complet silence and poke around, I do not feel movement.

My son felt like he was always right under the skin of my belly on the right side of my belly button. This baby actually feels "burrowed" like your dh said. When I feel movement, it almost feels really deep inside. I got bigger much faster this time and I was almost wondering if that's whyI am not feeling the movement like I did with my son. I've already gained 13 lbs this time but I only gained 3lbs by this time with my son.

I only felt minimal movement until almost a week ago. I was 21 weeks then. Now I'm feeling it daily, but I haven't really noticed a certain side that I feel it on more than the other.

I only feel the baby on the left side and I haven't felt the baby in weeks. While at the ER last night they said if there is no cramping or vaginal bleeding, that the baby is fine. She said she wouldn't worry until you are past 20 weeks no matter what # baby it is. I was worried too but I don't have cramping or bleeding so I think the baby is fine.

"The day you deliver, outside will be foggy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning . After a labor lasting approximately 3 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and be completely bald."
