Default WEIGHT: a report from 'beyond'.....

Ok, so someone said the new moms should start posting about baby stuff to distract those still waiting....so here you go...

This is a post about WEIGHT. My weight. Charlotte's weight. Weight. Weight. Weight.

Charlotte -- who was a pound bigger than her brother at birth -- 7 lb 12.4 oz...got down to 7 lb 6 oz....at the weigh clinic a week later, she was 8 lbs 8 oz! That is INSANE!!!! That is over a pound in a week!!! So, needless to say, my milk came in quickly and she is nursing like a champ. And often.

On the other side of the spectrum....I was 209 at my second to last appt...206.5 at my last appt....this is a 46-49 lb gain from my pre-pregnancy weight of 160...and 56-59 from my pre-Joey weight. Sooooooooooo, like last time, I decided to track down a scale in L&D....I was 194 the night after I had Charlotte. The same time after Joey I had not LOST ANYTHING. (GAH!) SO that was a nice surprise. At least a little weight gone.

I got on the wii fit Wednesday and it said I was 181.5.....so, even knowing things go up and down from scale to scale, I feel like my body is losing weight easier this time (up to this point). I would like to take off another 20 by the time I go back to work on January 15th. That would put me pretty much back at my pre-pregnancy weight. Then I could beat that last 10 lbs off the old fashioned way.

I would note that I've been using the belly bandits I ordered -- I couldn't hardly get into the small the day after delivery...I was too small for it by 1 week PP...I'm wearing the xs now (28-33 inches) and I think I have a couple more inches before I am out of it. Going to either add more velcro or get an ace bandage -- I really feel like it is helping, which I did not expect. I am wearing jeans (and was wearing jeans the day we left the hospital) that I bought at 8 wks PP with Joey -- not my 'real' size but also smaller than what I was wearing at this point last time. I hope it doesn't stop. LOL

Now to start exercising! Oh fun.....
