Default Uteran Cramp??

It seems like I've seen a post about this somewhere else, but I can't remember where, but anyway, last night DD woke up just screaming at 12:30 because she's teething, and so I go into to put some orajel on her gums and when I lean over the crib to pick her up I get this really weird cramp like feeling in the top of my uterus, and I've noticed this before, it kind of scares me, but it goes away really quickly and baby seems fine, lots of movement...so has anyone else had this or ever heard of it???

Could be braxton hicks contractions? I get them a few times a day.

I get them occassionally, too. More with this pregnancy than I can remeber in the past. They are scary because they are so sudden!! Mine feels like the muscles are pulling apart & the baby is trying to squeeze through!! It is a weird sensation and I am always startled by them. I don't think they are anything more than muscle spasms/cramps, etc. They go away quickly for me too. Do you only seem to get them when you are straining? I do.

Kara- I wish they were just BH but this feels completely different from that, it's not the whole uterus it's just in one spot, it's totally weird!!

Tracy- Yes! That sounds exactly the same as what I'm getting, and it is only when i'm straining, I think that's why it freaks me out a little, glad to know I'm not the only one!!

I don't get those exact pains, but I've been getting pains that are freaking me out. From my L&D trip on Weds, the DR told me not to overdo things, and to do things how I feel. If I've been doing/walking too much, I stop and they usually go away.

I've been getting them too. Especially at night when I wake up to go to the bathroom. It feels like cramps and when I get back in bed it hurts too.
