Spring Cleaning
Did you do it yet?
I was supposed to write a paper for class, but when DH came home we got into this crazy cleaning frenzy. I ran with it and we ended up totally reconfiguring DD's room: anchored her dresser (with the help of my mom as I'm a hardware idiot), cleaned her closet, went through her baby/outgrown clothes, vaccummed, and cleaned the walls. In our room, DH and I did the same stuff, moving things around. I also got a LOT of laundry done. I was so worried about fitting another baby in my apartment (especially DD's room), but with the way we organized, I know we have room. Woo!
How far have you gotten? Does anyone else have baby-fitting stress? It seems that with how small they are, they take up so much room, lol!

Re: Spring Cleaning
I haven't done any yet since we are not 100% sure if our living situation will change within the next few months. We rent a house right now (I can't complain, I love living here) but we've been looking for a house to buy since January. If we don't find one by August, we're just going to stay put for another year and stop looking (that way we don't have to move when I'm super-preggo or with an infant).
So it's hard to get motivated to clean/start nesting when I don't know if we'll be living here much longer!

Re: Spring Cleaning
I've started very slowly though. We are moving at the end of the month so I have to make sure we don't take stuff we don't need. I have Salvation Army coming out to pick up stuff the week before we move.

Re: Spring Cleaning
Good for you! Gosh, I WISH I had the energy! it takes all I have just to do laundry for 6 people!
As for Baby-space-stress, Thankfully, I have a good sized house. The girls are all different ages & they don't want to share rooms anymore. I am fine with that, but we need to turn an upstairs loft/family room into a bedroom (and laundry room woo-hoo!). That will take time, $$, and energy. Luckily, DH is very handy and we can do all the work ourselves. I just can't imagine my house all torn up in the process.

You may want to reconsider! It is MUCH easier to get unpacked, etc. with an infant who STAY PUT than it is with a toddler, who will terrorize you while you try to accomplish all that is necessary!!! lol

Re: Spring Cleaning
I cleaned my 1st floor windows inside and out last weekend and DH put the screens in. I keep saying that I'm going to hire a cleaning lady to do the rest of the house becuase I just can't get anything done. Just my everyday cleaning of the kitchen, keeping the bathrooms presentable, making the beds, doing laundry, food shopping, making dinner, baths, and still leaving time to take the kids to the park is making not leaving me time to vaccum, dust and mop. I LIKE to clean my own house, and I just feel like a cleaning lady is going to cut corners (which is what I'm doing now), so it would kill me to spend the money (I would rather buy a cute maternity outfit). Everyone in my neighborhood has a cleaning lady. I feel like, I"m home I'd rather spend it on something else, and also it's my exercise. I would be a fat ole housewife if I didn't bust my but cleaning. LOL
Anyway, I just cleaned my fridge so maybe I'll do it little by little. It's raining so we can't go to the park anyway.

I did and it is the BEST money I spend every month!!! I am willing to give up going out to eat a few times a month to afford her. I HATE to clean bathrooms!!!!!! She comes every 2 weeks and everything gets a sparkling gleam and I just have to maintain it.

Re: Spring Cleaning
We have an extra room for the new baby, but I'm still worried about the space. We use that as a guest bedroom, mostly for my in-laws, and the closet I use to store junk in. Now we'll have to find a new home for all that junk in the closet, but I'm glad to be getting rid of the "guest room" b/c that means in-laws can't stay with us now. HAHA! Mean I know, but my MIL drives me nuts more than ever now that I have kids.

Re: Spring Cleaning
I have not done any Spring cleaning. I basically decided to do all the major cleaning in the Fall when my son is at school full time.
I never nested at all with my first pregnancy so I basically came home from the hospital, with a newborn, to a h***hole here...can't do that again!
As far as baby space goes, we are pretty limited. We are pretty much at capacity here so we'll need to be creative. We probably won't even think about moving until next Spring. I am going to try to keep things minimal baby-wise so I am not trying to store a lot of unnecessary stuff.

Re: Spring Cleaning
My apartment is too small but moving isn't an option for us right now, but I would love to!!
We still have a lot of cleaning left: kitchen and living room, and I'm still behind in regular stuff like mopping, scrubbing, etc. After Monday (my last final) I'll be home all week and able to clean
