Default Reading Material...

What are/were your favorite books about pregnancy? I have mine from my first pregnancy, and I find myself re-reading them again...following along week by week as I go. I was just wondering if anyone had any good ones. My SIL bought me one by Johnson & Johnson that is pretty neat. It shows a real person growing month by month, and it has images of the size of the baby each month as well. This is the book I've shown to my DD and tried to explain about how Mommy's belly is going to grow like the woman in the book. And DD loves to see the images of the baby growing inside the tummy's as well.

I read with Jax and reread with Draven "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy! wow...that book gets my laughing every time. Its nice to be able to completely relate with someone...even if it is through a book! I need to go dig it out of the baby box!

Belly Laughs was hysterical! I have What to Expect, but I don't love it that much. I really like to go to sites like pregnancy.org and baby-gaga.com and read about the fetal development week by week. DD and I look at the pictures together and she knows that that is what the baby in mommy's belly looks like

I have Your Pregnancy Week to Week and What to expect when your expecting. They are pretty good but I find the websites to be more informative.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!

The day you deliver, outside will be sunny. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .
After a labor lasting approximately 8 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and will be 19-1/2 inches long. This child will have dark brown eyes and a lot of hair.

I have what to expect when you're expecting. But I think I either got rid of it already or am planning to. But I still read Pregnancy for dummies and Pregnant and Lovin' it. They have some good info in it.
Oh I would love to read Belly Laughs. I always hear about it. It sounds so good!!

Yes, Jenny McCarthy's books are hilarious. "Baby Laughs" is also a good one. I read that during my last month of pregnancy when I was in the "anxiously awaiting" stage. She's pretty crude and I don't care much for her language sometimes, but she definitely gets you laughing!

I also have What to Expect and the Week by Week one and they are good for referencing. I have another one that my OB's office gives to all FTM's that was very informative but I can't seem to remember the name right now and it's packed away at the moment.
