So, my mom came with me to the u/s yesterday and it all went good... on the way in the car she tells me she got this beautiful card for me for mothers day (i had casually mentioned about one that I found for a pregnant friend) and stressed that OMG it cost $6!!! I mean WOW..

So I am on the phoen with her this morning and she says she is all excited about this card, can I believe she spent 6 dollars on it. I was like mom stop rubbing in how much you spent on a damn card! she says I am not it is a really beautiful card that cost $6. I said stop telling me how much the damn card costs. BAH

I dont even want the stupid thing now

ask her if she wants you to give her the darn 6 bucks.... she'll quit saying it. LOL! At least she bought it for you, my mom wouldn't spend six bucks on a card even if it read itself.

I totally understand. My moms reaction when I told her I was pregnant was, " I thought you had better sense than that." Im like geez thanks....she's so not a lovey dovey family person at all. She has 3 kids. Me 27, Sister 15, Sister 11 and she doesnt hide the fact that she thinks we were all mistakes. Not suprises but mistakes as she puts it. I've gotten to the point I dont go around her unless I have to.

Oh girl! Let her talk all she wants about her $6!!! My MIL is the EXACT same way. I am always like I DON"T CARE HOW MUCH YOU PAY FOR SH**!!! If its a gift...shut your freakin mouth! LOL! Just take the card and love it! LOL! and laugh that it cost her $6!
