I was on break this morning, and the SAME person who gave me grief about the donut last week, starts talking about dogs.
First i said that my DH and I sleep in separate beds because we are more comfortable that way because we sleep with our three small dogs. also, he works 2nd shift and gets home at 3 AM and i have to get up at 6 AM...makes sense to me...we're BOTH more comfortable!
She then throws a fit about how the dogs should sleep on the floor then and that she thinks it's dirty...well, good for her!
Then she's like: "are you going to lay a baby in the bed that dogs have slept in?" and I'm like "yup" the child will sit on the couch and play on the same floor the dogs are on, so what's the difference? She throws a fit saying how dirty and gross it is...SHUT THE F*** UP!
If you don't like it, don't send your kid over i guess...what does it matter to her what i do with my child? I grew up with dogs in the house...I'm perfectly healthy!
Sheesh....you DO need to tell her to Shut up and mind her own da** business!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!
The day you deliver, outside will be sunny. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .
After a labor lasting approximately 8 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and will be 19-1/2 inches long. This child will have dark brown eyes and a lot of hair.
Wow- I think you should be done talking to her for a while.
I have a dog, and although he does not sleep in the bed anymore (he did, but I have a bad back and although he was sleeping great, I wasn't), he does have his own full size bed and when DH is out of town, I sleep there with the dog. We just don't have enough room in our bed for the two of us and a labradore. I won't let the dog sleep with the baby b/c the dog is 75 pounds and a newborn is not even close to that. Either way- it has nothing to do with "dirt".
She'd hate me too then, b/c I sleep with my dogs. We have a dachshund and a german shepard. The dachshund always sleeps in bed with us, but the german shepard only does when DH is working offshore. But yeah I layed my DD in that same bed when she was a tiny little infant. And my dog even cuddled up next to her...the cat as well. And now DD loves our german shepard and she climbs all over her and gives her hugs and kisses goodnight. HAHA. I hate when DD tries to kiss the dogs on their snouts, but it ain't gonna kill her! I just try to encourage her to kiss them on their foreheads. The dogs are our babies too, and the babies are going to grow up with them one way or another. I think you outta slap that girl in the face! LOL
omg that girl is a moron. she needs to get a life and stop trying to live yours!

Jeez, what a pain! Maybe you should limit your convos to the weather, lol!
PS-I think your situation is totally fine...it kind of reminds me of the King of Queens episode when Doug and Carrie get seperate beds
I don't have any pets, so I can't relate to you on that part, but my DH and I sleep in separate rooms when he has to get up early and go to work. There is no use in me getting up at 3 am when his alarm goes off and not being able to go back to sleep!
Keep your head up!

Expecting Baby #1! Due November 5, 2008
These people are soooo annoying! Why can't they mind their own business. One should know that what works for you may not work for the next person etc. so there is no "right" way of doing things. You better stay away or she'll also fill you up with pregnancy and mothering do's and dont's!
Pay no attention to her and in the future avoid her. You do not need to be upsetting yourself over stupid people like that anyway. Take Care of yourself. Remember, you have a little one inside you.
I'm just lurking . . . but I agree with you! My dog sleeps in bed with us . . . we think we are going to get a bigger bed to make more room for BOTH us, dog and baby. Lots of studies have shown that children that grow up in houses with pets are healthier/have fewer allergies. Some people just don't understand pets. Of course, I'm a dog person and personally think cats are icky, but I know people feel about their cats the way I feel about my dog!
