Fellow Doppler Users

So I must be doing something wrong, finally broke down and rented a doppler. However when I counted the beats for 10 seconds I only got like 13 which cannot be right. I know the drs said there is a big blood vessels that sometimes confuses finding it.

Help, I thought the doppler would help me stop worry now I am worrying about the heart rate. Ugh.
