Where are the cheapest diapers ('sposies)?
It's been awhile since I bought diapers so I can't really remember what's a good price and what's not. Where can I find them the cheapest? Would it be at Costco (the Kirklands brand) or would it be one of those mail-order places? Or just clip coupons and then hit sales at Target? Neither of my babies were very particular about what brand they used, so I would like to just find the cheapest option and get a couple boxes of those to start with and see how this babe does.
So... who knows where the best bargains are?

Going on 3 kids, it is my opinion that diapers are pretty much the same price across the board. You can always find something on sale somewhere if you are open to which ones you get. Target almost always has something on clearance (Usually Huggies) and I try to stock up if they have something I can use. You can also save a bundle with coupons.

I also like Target for diaper sales and coupons. I used their store brand for awhile too. I find that our local grocery stores charge $1-3 more per pack, so I rarely buy them there.
We buy Luvs from Target and I always have a coupon. I stock up if they are also on store sale that week.

When I had Terran, I said I wouldn't be a diaper snob...but the only things he didn't leak through were Pampers, so...you can sign up on their website to get coupons. I haven't ever bought any diapers without a coupon, and generally get them on sale too. Between walmart, kmart, target, someplace always has them. Here, kmart is about $1 cheaper than walmart reg. price. I went to BRU a while back though and the megaboxes they have are good price!

I've been hitting up Target whenever they have sales. I don't really know how well I'm doing on saving as I don't have much to compare it with. But, Leslie started another thread about Walgreens. Maybe check them out?

I had the same problem with DS as Becky did with Terran..he leaked out of virtually every diaper except Pampers cruisers. The hospital had Pampers swaddlers and he literally peed out of every one of them. I always bought his diapers at Costco because they had the big box and it seemed to be a little cheaper than buying the smaller packs at the store.

Re: Where are the cheapest diapers ('sposies)?
About how many diapers (obviously this is an approximate answer) should I stock up on before the baby gets here? So far I have 80 newborn diapers (I didn't want to get too many in case I have a big baby) and then I have about 300 size 1's, 150 size 2's, & 150 size 3's .. I understand this won't be all that we need, but I wanted to get started a little ahead of time on the larger sizes in case I have a "down" week & can't quite afford to run out & get another box right then.

Re: Where are the cheapest diapers ('sposies)?
I am a big fan of the Kirkland diapers and wipes. Other than that, I will combine a coupon with Huggies supreme on sale when I see thm. I have had NO problems with leakage with the Kirkland and we have used all sizes 1-5 with DS#1...
I have used store brands (Safeway/Albertsons) and Luv's a couple times and am not a big fan personally.

*Lurking*
The Baby Bargains book said 100 NB and 300 1's to start...then you could gauge how fast your baby will grow.
They also said to save receipts because you should be able to take them back if you have a gigantor baby (That's where I think i'll be )
I hate Target because their return policy is hinky...but I believe if you bought them all on the same credit/debit card, they should be able to return them for you without a receipt.
