Question about skincare during pregnancy

I like to use Vitamin E illuminating moisture cream from the Body Shop but I wondered whether any of you know if it is safe to use during pregnancy. I read somewhere that you have to be careful with products you use on your skin because they are absorbed by the fetus. Please let me know if you know about the product or any ingredients one has to be wary of in skincare products
