Hi,

I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and I have no health insurance. I'm self-employed and we weren't planning on getting pregnant...I had a miscarriage about a year ago and I qualified for Medicaid at that time, but now that I am out of college I am earning a little too much to qualify.

My husband and I are very excited about this baby, but we can't stop worrying if I'll miscarry again, especially without being able to really afford the best prenatal care...

I signed up for Maternity Advantage, which is a discount program, but I won't be able to use it for 2 more weeks...

Has anyone here ever heard of it, or faced a pregnancy uninsured?
