My Dh is getting Parental leave!!!!!
I am sooo excited!! In Canada either spouse is entittled to 35 weeks parental leave and usually if mom is working she takes that plus her 17 weeks maternity leave. I have been a SAHM since Rufus was born so I don't need any leave since i'm not working. Maternity leave here pays 55% of your Salary...but since my dh is our sole income we didn't think we could live on basically half his salary.
Here is the great news...he has his work for a top on his parental benefits and they are toping him up to 95% till the beginning of January!!!! So he will be home with me till sometime just after the new year!!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!
